Mother is One of The Oldest Words in the Human Vocabulary
Cool fact... One of the oldest. Recently, a team of linguists studied the oldest language from the oldest known civilizations known to man. We’re talking 15,000 years ago when glaciers still covered most of Europe and North America. Humans were saying these words in a way pretty similar to how we do today. They found at least 23 "Ultra conserved words" that were consistently used in those earliest civilizations. Of the 23 words that all had the same definition, the words were fire, worm, old, spit, and, of course, mother.
